Our Doctor
Dr. Renee Rodriguez was born in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was raised in the oilfield, and lived in Houston, TX and Venezuela throughout her childhood. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Rodriguez first became interested in podiatric medicine after shadowing podiatrists during undergrad and seeing the effects of diabetes within her community and even her own family.
She graduated from Baylor University in 2007 (Sic 'em!) with a degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Philosophy. She received her doctorate from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2011 and completed a 3 year surgical residency at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Richmond Heights, OH. Throughout her residency training, she had the privilege of being exposed to different facets of podiatry including wound care, limb salvage, foot surgery, foot and ankle trauma, and primary podiatric care.
She has been practicing since 2014 and has practiced in the Rio Grande Valley since 2018. Dr. Rodriguez is board certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Rodriguez is passionate about podiatric medicine and surgery and considers it a blessing to continue practicing in the Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Rodriguez has privileges at Valley Regional Medical Center and Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Brownsville, TX.
